Massacre in Pomatambo and Parco
On October 22, 1986, a military patrol entered the village of Pomatambo, Ayacucho, and detained several individuals, subjecting them to brutal treatment. The detainees were later taken to Parco, where they were forced to remain naked and were further mistreated. The military claimed the operation resulted in the deaths of 13 subversives, but investigations revealed discrepancies in the official account, including the fact that one of the alleged subversives had died two years earlier.
El 22 de octubre de 1986, a las 7 de la noche, una patrulla militar ingresó en Pomatambo, Vilcashuamán, Ayacucho, efectuando disparos y deteniendo a civiles en sus viviendas. Los detenidos fueron llevados a la plaza principal, golpeados brutalmente, y luego trasladados a Huaccaña-Parco.
