Ratification of Senate appointments

The Senate of the Republic of Peru ratified the appointment of Luz Áurea Sáenz as Comptroller General of the Republic. Likewise, in the same session, the appointment of Pedro Coronado Labó as president of the board of directors of the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) was ratified. These ratifications took place in a political context marked by the nationalization of the banking system proposed by President Alan García Pérez and the creation of the Ministry of Defense.
