Takeover of Tabalosos by the MRTA
MRTA takes the city of Tabalosos initiating the campaign "Che Lives".
A group of emerretistas in uniform and armed with rifles took the city of Tabalosos without casualties. This action marked the beginning of the political-military campaign El Che vive. The MRTA called on the population to explain the reasons for their insurgency, evaluate the performance of the local authorities and invite the villagers to join their ranks.
