Attack by the PCP-SL in Chuquibambilla
Members of the PCP-SL attacked the district of Chuquibambilla in Apurimac, assaulting the police post, the jail, the Municipality and the Municipal Library. The attack left three policemen dead and six seriously wounded.
On September 12, 1987, members of the PCP-SL raided the district of Chuquibambilla, Apurimac province. During the attack, the subversives attacked multiple targets in the district, including the police post, the jail, the Municipality and the Municipal Library. In the assault on the police post, they killed three policemen and seriously wounded six others. This attack was part of the IV Military Plan of the PCP-SL called "Develop Support Bases", which was in force between March 1987 and September 1988.
