Second MRTA raid in Pajarillo
Second fleeting incursion of the MRTA in the town of Pajarillo, San Martin, on August 30, 1987, as part of their initial operations in the Sisa Valley.
On August 30, 1987, the MRTA carried out its second incursion in the town of Pajarillo, located in the Sisa Valley, an area considered strategic by this subversive organization. This incursion was as fleeting as the first one that had occurred in Campanilla on July 13 of the same year. The Sisa Valley was an access point to the areas of Alto Mayo, Middle Mayo, the Huayabamba Valley and Central Huallaga. This action was part of the beginning of MRTA's public military operations in 1987 with the formation of the Northeastern Front.
