Attack on Lachocc Farm

PCP-SL attack on INIA's Lachocc Farm near Huancavelica, where they murdered 9 peasant workers and slaughtered 400 alpacas.

On August 9, 1987, a Shining Path column attacked the Lachocc Farm, located near the city of Huancavelica, owned by INIA (National Institute of Agricultural Research). During the attack, PCP-SL militants killed 9 peasants working on the farm. In addition to the murder of the workers, the attackers slit the throats of 400 alpacas that were on the premises. This attack was one of the largest subversive actions during 1987 in the province of Huancavelica.
