MRTA raid in Soritor
MRTA raided in Soritor, 2 policemen died and weapons captured
An armed column of the MRTA entered the town of Soritor. There were 12 policemen in the police post, of which a captain and 6 policemen fled to Moyobamba, while the other 6 resisted for two hours of confrontation. Then they surrendered after suffering the death of 2 of them. The MRTA rally was short, because the Moyobamba police were alerted and came to support them. The subversives took machine guns and small arms before retreating to the Sisa valley.
