Murder of Nelson Pozo
Shining Path assassinates Nelson Pozo, PAP's national deputy secretary of organization.
A month after Rodrigo Franco's assassination, in August 1987, another APRA leader, Nelson Pozo, national undersecretary of organization of the PAP, was killed by the Shining Path as part of the campaign of selective annihilations against APRA cadres.
