Cotabambas declared in emergency, first province in southern Andean region
The province of Cotabambas was declared an emergency zone for 30 days. It was the first province in the southern Andean region, besides Andahuaylas, to be declared in emergency, demonstrating the seriousness of the situation of violence in the area.
