On May 10, 1987, the PCP-SL called a general assembly in the Jocos Cooperative, in Cachachi, taking advantage of the celebration of San Isidro. The assembly was attended by the President of the Cooperative. Two months later, in July, Luis Paredes took over the management of the cooperative, apparently following the directives of the PCP-SL, and proceeded to parcel out the land, including as beneficiaries employees, former leaders and their children who lived in the city of Cajabamba and other places. A year later, on July 10, 1988, Luis Paredes and Eloy Robles, former leader, were executed by the PCP-SL, sealing the definitive dissolution of the company.
