Military incursion in Pampa Puquio

Twenty Peruvian Army troops raided the Pampa Puquio annex, near the community of San Antonio de Cuchucancha, as part of counter-subversive operations.

On April 27, 1987, twenty members of the Peruvian Army raided the Pampa Puquio annex, near the peasant community of San Antonio de Cuchucancha. This military incursion took place in the context of counter-subversive operations in the area. The event is related to a previous incursion on May 1, when members of the EP arrived in the peasant community of Cuchucancha, surrounded the town with military trucks and detained four villagers.
