Unification of Movimiento Pueblo en Marcha and UDP
In late September 1987, the Movimiento Pueblo en Marcha and the UDP, influenced by the MIR Voz Rebelde, unified to form a new political movement under the name UDP. A finales de septiembre de 1987, el Movimiento Pueblo en Marcha y la UDP, influenciados por el MIR Voz Rebelde, se unificaron en un solo movimiento político. El nuevo movimiento adoptó el nombre de UDP. Esta unificación ocurrió en el contexto de las tensiones entre las tendencias moderadas y radicales dentro de Izquierda Unida y sus organismos de base.
