Disappearance of Puka Llaqta around 1987
Puka Llaqta disappeared around 1987 when it was absorbed by PCP-SL after a process initiated in 1984.
As the years went by, the militants of Puka Llaqta were absorbed by the PCP-SL until they disappeared as a group around 1987. Since the first schism of Patria Roja, most of the radicalized sectors of Puka Llaqta, who had political work in trade unions and among the peasantry, joined the ranks of the PCP-SL. Within the University they were being ideologically incorporated, with greater impetus since 1984, being reduced to a student front with few active cadres.
