Sacrificial march of 3000-4000 students from La Cantuta to Lima in 1987, appropriated by PCP-SL in their slogans.
In 1987 the great march of sacrifice from La Cantuta to Lima took place, with the participation of between 3000 and 4000 students, led by the university authorities including Milcíades Hidalgo. During the march, the PCP-SL appropriated all the slogans, changing slogans such as 'combat, resist, popular slogan' to 'combat, resist, people's war'. This march coincided with the crisis of the FEUNE and evidenced the loss of control of the legal left over the student mobilizations. The mobilization was for the student half-passage and against ANR policies.
