Talks on violence in Independencia and Carabayllo
In 1987, the NGO CIPEP organized talks on violence in Independencia and Carabayllo, together with the parishes and the Peru Life and Peace Forum, in a context of increasing political violence in the area.
The NGO CIPEP, which operated in Independencia and Carabayllo, organized talks on violence in conjunction with parishes and the Peru Life and Peace Forum in 1987. These talks took place in the context of an upsurge of violence in the Northern Zone of Metropolitan Lima. By then, the increase in violence also intensified fear among the population, which was reflected in the limited attendance at the Second Forum organized in 1990 with the support of the Episcopal Conference.
