Attack on PAIT premises in San Martin de Porres

Subversives of the PCP-SL attacked the premises of the PAIT in San Martin de Porres in 1987, as part of their strategy against APRA government programs. This attack was part of a broader campaign against APRA premises and government program workers.

In 1987, subversives of the PCP-SL attacked the PAIT (Temporary Income Support Program) in San Martin de Porres. This attack was part of a broader PCP-SL strategy against the programs of Alan Garcia's APRA government. During the APRA government, subversive actions were directed against APRA offices, PAIT workers and APRA leaders of neighborhood organizations, a situation that intensified after the prison massacre of 1986. PAIT was a temporary employment program created by the APRA government.
