PCP-SL attacks against Laive Unit of SAIS Cahuide

The PCP-SL carried out systematic attacks against the Laive Unit of SAIS Cahuide at the end of 1987, destroying furniture and slaughtering pedigree cattle. The attacks continued until 1989 when they destroyed the milk processing machinery and distributed the cattle among the workers.

At the end of 1987, the PCP-SL began systematic attacks against the Laive Unit of the SAIS Cahuide, destroying the furniture and slaughtering an undetermined number of cattle. These attacks were part of the Shining Path's strategy to destroy the Agrarian Societies of Social Interest in the region. The Shining Path raids on the SAIS Cahuide alternated with harassment of police posts located in the Canipaco area. At the beginning of 1989, the PCP-SL launched a major offensive against the Laive Production Unit, destroying the machinery for the processing of milk and its derivatives, setting fire to the pastures, looting the farmhouse and distributing the cattle among the workers.
