Letter to the PCP-Red Fatherland Party

Critical letter from leaders of the PCP-Red Fatherland generates rupture and formation of UNIR-Bolchevique

In December 1986, a Letter to the Party appeared, signed by 11 leaders of the PCP-Patria Roja, addressed to Alberto Moreno, then General Secretary of that party. In it, under a partisan language, the top leaders were criticized for their departure from the General Line of preparing the party for war, approved in its V Congress, and the reformist deviations in which they had incurred. The contingent of militants and leaders who left the PCP-Patria Roja gave rise to the UNIR-Bolchevique, which some time later was dissolved. Some of its members joined the ranks of the PCP-SL and the MRTA.
