University student killed in confrontation during Rimanacuy Puno 86
During the episodes of violence prior to and during the Rimanacuy Puno 86 meeting, a university student died on September 22, 1986 in Puno, in the midst of a series of attacks against peasant and government institutions.
In the context of the Rimanacuy Puno 86 meeting, there were episodes of violence in the south of the country. Between August 7 and September 17, multiple attacks were registered, including attacks against the premises of the Federation of Peasants of Puno, the house of Congressman Alberto Quintanilla Chacón, the Congress of the Federation of Peasants (leaving four wounded on August 30), the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and CIPA. On September 22, as a result of these confrontations, a university student died.
