Third FDCP Congress

The Third Congress of the Departmental Federation of Farmers of Puno (FDCP) was held with the attendance of 850 delegates from all over the department. The congress approved that the associative companies be immediately intervened with the participation of community and FDCP representatives. It was agreed that all associative property (approximately 1'750,000 hectares) would go to a departmental land fund for adjudication to communities and partialities. Communal enterprises would be promoted with state support. The event was one of the largest peasant events in the recent history of Puno.
