Violations at Chungui military base
In August 1986, the affiant and 15 other women were detained, tortured and raped by soldiers from the Chungui Base. The affiant became pregnant as a result of the rape.
In August 1986, the affiant and 15 other women, between 38 and 40 years of age, were detained by soldiers from the Chungui Base when they were with her father and brothers in Huillcabamba. The women were mistreated with blows, kicks and punches, and tortured by hanging them by their hands from a tree. The affiant was later forced to live in the house of a captain in Chapi, where she was raped. As a result of the rape, she gave birth to a baby girl.
