Workers march and protester shot in Cerro de Pasco

During a workers' march in Cerro de Pasco to demand the approval of the list of demands, a demonstrator was shot. The gunman, Florentino Cecones, was captured and confessed to being a militant of the PCP-SL.

On March 19, 1986, mine workers marched in Cerro de Pasco to demand approval of the list of demands. During the demonstration, a shot was fired at one of the demonstrators. The demonstrators and the military reacted immediately and managed to capture Florentino Cecones, who was identified as the author of the shot. After his arrest, Cecones openly declared to be a militant of the PCP-SL (Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path).
