Takeover of the city of Monzon by the PCP-SL
PCP-SL took Monzon city, destroyed municipality and controlled administration for years
Sendero took the town of Monzon, located 62 kilometers from Tingo Maria, and after gathering the population and rallying them, destroyed the municipality's belongings and documents. Since then and for several years only the workers were the ones who administered the municipality.
