The subversives destroyed the belongings and documents of the Municipality, which from then on was run only by its workers. This seizure took place in the context of a particularly violent presence of the PCP-SL in the Monzon valley, where the subversive organization had appeared since 1984 and confronted sectors that disagreed with its rule.
