Death of Adán Castillo Vega

Adán Castillo Vega, former president of the Student Federation of the University of the Altiplano, died when the dynamite he was carrying to carry out an attack in the city of Puno exploded. The incident occurred in the context of the actions of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso in the department of Puno during 1986. Castillo Vega was a university student who was apparently involved in subversive activities. His death was the result of an accident during the preparation or transport of explosives destined for an attack.
