Attack on SAIS San José and Illari
Attack by the PCP-SL against the SAIS San José and Illari in Azángaro that left 5 dead and destroyed the bridge that connected them to the city.
The PCP-SL carried out an attack against the SAIS San José and the SAIS Illari in the province of Azángaro. During the raid, the attackers killed 5 people. As part of the action, they blew up the bridge connecting these associative companies with the city of Azángaro. This attack was part of the Shining Path campaign to raze associative enterprises created by the agrarian reform, which the PCP-SL considered an expression of a semi-feudal society that should be demolished.
