Agua Blanca Massacre by PCP-SL

60 hikers massacred 16 people in Agua Blanca after people's trial with extreme cruelty

A group of 60 hikers raided the village of Agua Blanca, where a Self-Defense Committee had been organized under the leadership of peasant Andrés Cornelio Castañeda. They surprised and killed him, after a 'popular trial' in the soccer field, along with 15 other people. They went on a rampage against President Cornelio Castañeda, who had his tongue cut out, his eyes gouged out and his head chopped off with a machete, to 'play football' with it, demonstrating a savagery that should serve as a lesson.
