Attack on Vinchos mining company

The PCP-SL attacked the Vinchos mining company in 1986, assassinating three high-ranking officials (manager, assistant manager and superintendent) and dynamiting the concentrator plant, which caused the company to close.

In 1986, the PCP-SL carried out an attack against the Vinchos mining company in Cerro de Pasco. The hikers managed to enter the company's offices and shot and killed the manager, assistant manager and mine superintendent. Subsequently, they dynamited the concentrator plant causing irreparable material damage. This event caused the definitive closure of this mining company. The attack was commanded by the comrades known as 'Hernán' and 'Nelly', who also attacked the communities of Pasco.
