Murder of Tomas Miranda Trinidad

Tomas Miranda Trinidad, union leader of CENTROMIN - Peru, was assassinated in the city of Cerro de Pasco in 1986, as part of a series of selective assassinations against union leaders during the internal armed conflict.

Tomas Miranda Trinidad was a union leader of CENTROMIN - Peru murdered in the city of Cerro de Pasco in 1986. His death is part of a series of assassinations against union leaders and political authorities in the capital of the department of Pasco during the period of political violence. Along with him, other CENTROMIN union leaders such as Leonidas Gómez Yalico (1988) and Seferino Requis (1989) were also assassinated. These murders occurred in the context of constant death threats against political authorities and political and union leaders in the city of Cerro de Pasco since 1980.
