Use of child bomber killed in attack
14 year-old boy died when bomb he was carrying exploded in an attack in Ayacucho.
A minor of approximately 14 years of age got out of a car carrying a powerful explosive to detonate it at the residence of the Investigative Police. The device exploded surprisingly one meter away from the police premises. The package contained eight sticks of dynamite that had been ignited seconds before. The child was thrown to pieces, his remains were scattered in a radius of 80 meters. This modality of 'child bombing' consisted in giving children dynamite cartridges with lit fuse to run and drop them on the target.
