Official exhumation of seven corpses in Pucayacu mass grave with evidence of execution
On August 29, 1985, the exhumation and removal of corpses was carried out in Pucayacu, with the presence of the Instructing Judge of Huanta Félix Bautista Barzola, the Provincial Prosecutor Simón Palomino Vargas, members of the Peruvian Investigation Police and the denouncing relatives. A rectangular grave of three meters long and two meters wide was found, containing five male and two female corpses. The relatives could see bullet shells around the grave and on the bodies there were holes and black stains on the temples, evidencing point-blank shots.
