A 19-year-old woman was detained for the second time in August 1985 by members of the Peruvian Army and taken again to the Pampa Cangallo Base, accused of belonging to the Shining Path. She was later transferred to the Huamanga Base. During this second detention, she was subjected to sexual violence and torture. This was the second of three detentions suffered by the victim, who was systematically abused by the same commander on each occasion.
