Arrest of Claudio Palomino Curo and Gerardo Palomino Ricra
Arbitrary detention of two peasants by Civil Guard at Luricocha checkpoint
On July 31, 1985, Claudio Palomino Curo and his nephew Gerardo Palomino Ricra were detained by members of the Civil Guard at the Luricocha checkpoint when they were returning to their home in the district of Marccaraccay. During the bus stop, the police officers asked them about Paulino Palomino Curo, Claudio's younger brother, who was wanted. Although they answered that Paulino was in Pago de Marccaraccay, both were detained and taken to the Luricocha Post. They were later transferred to the Castropampa Military Base.
