Statement by Minister of War Julián Juliá Freyre on support for the elected government

The Minister of War, General EP Julián Juliá Freyre, made public statements reiterating the broadest support of the Peruvian Army to the next government to be elected by the people. In his statements, General Juliá Freyre affirmed that there was no fear within the Peruvian Army in the eventuality of Izquierda Unida (IU) coming to power. He also stated that the electoral result would not produce transformations within the Peruvian Army.
