Detention and torture in Pueblo Libre
Detention of a woman in Pueblo Libre in 1985, who was subjected to torture, forced nudity and threats of rape with weapons by state agents.
A woman was arrested in the district of Pueblo Libre in 1985 and subsequently transferred to a detention center where she was subjected to torture and threats of rape. During her detention, she was stripped naked and threatened with rape, being threatened with the introduction of weapons in her private parts. The declarant says that having stained her underwear due to menstruation saved her from a possible rape by the police officers, although she was sexually assaulted with weapons. This testimony was presented at the Women's Public Hearing, Case No. 8, Single Session, on September 10, 2002.
