At the end of 1985, subversives of the PCP-SL dynamited the premises of the Peruvian Aprista Party (PAP) located in the districts of Comas and San Martin de Porres. This attack was part of a broader strategy of the PCP-SL to attack APRA premises and infrastructure during the APRA government. Attacks against the ruling party intensified later, especially after the 1986 prison massacre. These attacks were part of the subversive actions in the Northern Zone of Metropolitan Lima, where the PCP-SL sought to weaken the presence of the State and systematically attack local authorities and government representatives.
