PCP-SL Attack in Pampaccoris
A column of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso attacked the community members of Pampaccoris, Tayacaja, Huancavelica, as revenge for having helped the Armed Forces in an operation.
On December 23, 1984, a column of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso surprised the villagers of Pampaccoris, in the province of Tayacaja, department of Huancavelica. The attack was perpetrated as revenge against the villagers because they had helped the Armed Forces in a previous operation. This event was part of the escalation of violence that characterized 1984, when the PCP-SL intensified its actions against civilian populations that collaborated with the forces of law and order.
