Murder of 10 community members in Lucmahuaycco

In November 1984, after the arrival of 40 subversives in Lucmahuaycco-Cusco, the police and ronderos from Mollebamba entered the village at approximately 11 pm and killed 10 community members.

In November 1984, approximately 40 subversives of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso entered the village of Lucmahuaycco, located in Cusco, in order to raise awareness among the population. At approximately 11 p.m. that same day, the forces of law and order together with the Mollebamba ronderos entered the village. As a result of this incursion, 10 villagers were killed. This event is part of the pattern of violence that characterized the area during the internal armed conflict.
