Execution of suspected subversives in Paucarbamba
On October 22, 1984, four people accused of belonging to the PCP-SL were detained by residents of Paucarbamba and soldiers from the Counter-Subversive Base of Millpo, and were later extrajudicially executed.
On October 22, 1984, residents of Paucarbamba and military personnel from the Millpo Counter-Subversive Base arrested four people accused of being responsible for the actions committed by the PCP-SL in Paucarbamba and surrounding districts. The detainees were Lucio Anselmo Gaspar Cabezas, Teodomiro Gaspar Cabezas, Alfredo Montes Palomino and one other inhabitant. These people were denounced by repentant subversives. Subsequently, the four detainees were extrajudicially executed. This event occurred in the context of the organization of counter-subversive peasant patrols promoted by military personnel from the Millpo Base in Paucarbamba and Chinchihuasi during the second half of 1984.
