Detention of Cesar Arana Alcazar in the General Hospital of Huanta.

Wounded student was detained by police officers while recovering in the hospital.

On July 28, 1984, César Arana Alcazar, 20 years old, student of the State School 'González Vigil' of Huanta, was detained by members of the security forces when he was in the General Hospital of Huanta recovering from bullet wounds he had sustained during the assault on his home on July 1st . According to his medical records, between 3 and 4 a.m., people who identified themselves as members of the PIP entered the hospital and took him away.
