Arrest of Yuri Agama Anaya by Navy personnel
Yuri Agama Anaya, 17 years old, was detained by the Navy in Huanta when he was leaving school.
On July 19, 1984, at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon, Navy personnel detained Yuri Agama Anaya, 17 years of age, as he was leaving Educational Center No. 38315 and was on his way home. According to witnesses, a red 4x4 vehicle returned to the scene and its occupants, one with a revolver, held the young man by the neck and forced him into the vehicle. The next day, his father went to the Municipal Stadium of Huanta where he saw the same vehicle used in the arrest, although the officers denied that his son was detained there.
