Detention of Rigoberto Tenorio Roca, non-commissioned officer of the Army

Army non-commissioned officer was arrested by the Navy and PIP while traveling in a bus, accused of terrorist links.

On July 7, 1984, Rigoberto Tenorio Roca, 2nd non-commissioned officer of the Peruvian Army and pre-military instruction teacher at the Gonzales Vigil school in Huanta, was intervened by Marines when he was traveling from Huanta to Huamanga in a bus belonging to the Hidalgo company, at approximately 2:00 p.m. in the Huayhuaj area. Approximately thirty men from the Navy and PIP, with faces painted with black and green stripes, boarded the bus. While checking documents, one said 'here is a Tenorio' and they ordered him to get off. They put him in a tankette and tied his head with his own jacket. The newspaper EXTRA published that he was linked to terrorism.
