Murder of 10 people in Incapampa
The PCP-Sendero Luminoso killed 10 people in Incapampa, San José de Ticllas, in July 1984, as part of its offensive against communities that organized themselves into counter-subversive peasant patrols.
In July 1984, the PCP-Sendero Luminoso killed 10 people in Incapampa, a locality in the district of San José de Ticllas. This occurred in the context of confrontations between the PCP-SL and the peasant patrols that were being organized in the area. The same month, in Trigopampa (also in San Jose de Ticllas), there was a confrontation between the PCP-SL and ronderos in which 2 ronderos were killed. These murders were part of the Shining Path's strategy to eliminate those who opposed their "new power" project and the organization of civil self-defense committees in the region.
