Disappearance of 10 people from Huarcayocc
In July 1984, the military detained 10 people during the patron saint festival of Huarcayocc, Vilcashuamán, and took them to the Ocros base, where they disappeared.
During the celebration of the patron saint's day in Huarcayocc, Vilcashuamán district, 10 people were arrested by the military. The detainees were taken to the Ocros military base. Subsequently, these people disappeared without any news of their whereabouts. This event took place in the context of military operations against alleged PCP-Sendero Luminoso support bases in the area.
