Hooded members of the Peruvian Army detained Juan Dario Layme, an 18-year-old law student at UNSCH, on June 24, 1984 in Ayacucho.

On June 24, 1984, hooded members of the Peruvian Army (EP) arrested Juan Darío Layme, an 18-year-old law student at the National University of San Cristóbal de Huamanga (UNSCH). The arrest occurred in the context of the escalation of political violence in Ayacucho during that period. This event is part of the numerous arbitrary detentions carried out by the forces of law and order in the emergency zone during 1984.
