SUTEP strike solution

After eight days of strike, SUTEP resolved its labor conflict on June 13, 1984. Teachers returned to work that same day.

On June 13, 1984, the strike of the Sindicato Unitario de Trabajadores en la Educación del Perú (SUTEP) was resolved after eight days of duration. Teachers returned to work that same day. This strike took place in the context of multiple mobilizations of the education sector and state workers that characterized this period. The government had announced salary increases in an attempt to find a way out of the 15-day strikes of state workers.
