Investigation of missing detainee cases

EP General Adrián Huamán Centeno decided that the cases of unidentified detainees would be investigated by the PIP (Peruvian Investigative Police). This decision was made in the context of allegations of human rights violations and disappearances in the emergency zones, particularly in Ayacucho. One day later, on January 20, in a joint communiqué from General Huamán Centeno and the senior prosecutor of Ayacucho, Jorge Zegarra Delgado, it was announced that all those who believe their rights have been violated should send them their complaints in order to take corrective measures.
