Humiliating search of female inmates in Huancayo prison by police officers
During 1984, witness No. 720002 was the victim of a search in the women's wing of the Huamancaca Prison in Huancayo. The police officers entered in the early hours of the morning and took the inmates out to the yard, ordered them to take off their clothes and then to bend down with their legs open. This practice constituted a form of harassment and humiliation towards the families and inmates.
