José Castañeda elected rector of UNSCH with new statute
In 1984, after a period of interim rector and the drafting of a new statute for the UNSCH that incorporates full student participation in the university assembly, José Castañeda was elected as the new rector. He held his position until 1987, when he resigned and was replaced by Alberto Morote, until then administrative vice rector.
