PCP-SL is established in Padre Abad

Between 1984 and 1987, the PCP-SL clandestinely established itself in the province of Padre Abad, Ucayali, using teachers as militants to recruit coca farmers. This political work allowed the consolidation of logistical support bases for the Popular Guerrilla Army of the Regional Committee of Alto Huallaga.

During the first stage (1984-1987), the PCP-SL established itself clandestinely in the province of Padre Abad. The militants took advantage of their status as teachers to exacerbate the spirits of coca farmers and encourage them to initiate an unrestricted struggle in defense of coca leaf cultivation, which was already their main economic activity. The fulfillment of this task allowed the consolidation of logistical support and rest bases for the Popular Guerrilla Army (EGP) of the Regional Committee of Alto Huallaga (CRAH): the Main Force (FP) and the Local Force (FL), who in the second stage made incursions into the zone. This previous political work was consolidated during the second stage (1988-1992) when the PCP-SL took on the defense of coca as its slogan.
